The Big Apple!

New York.
Day 1.
We took the red eye Tuesday night and arrived early Wednesday morning.
We went straight to site seeing! After grabbing some delicious breakfast of course.
We took a bus tour all over the city including:
Empire State
Flat Iron (My favorite)
Ground Zero
Battery Park
Statue of Liberty
Shake Shack
and everywhere in between.
I'd highly recommend a bus tour because you get to see EVERYTHING.

We didn't get back to our hotel till after 6 so we tried to take a little nap.
Our hotel was in the best location! A block from Times Square.
So after our nap we walked through Times Square and down fifth ave to Eataly for dinner.
It reminded me of a bigger, fancier Granados - with homemade pasta!

Day 2.
We slept in and then headed to China Town & SoHo for some shopping!
SoHo was definitely one of my favorite areas.
We also ate lunch at probably my favorite place too - Peppe Rosso
BEST fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil and pancetta sammy ever.
The bread itself was amazing.

We also went to:
 Rockefeller Center
Radio City - Where we got Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding... delish!
Columbus Circle
Central Park
and then Chelsea for Dinner at Co Pizza.
We also stopped off at Donut Plant for some donuts...
We then made our way to The Lion King!
Loved every minute of it.
We wandered around Times Square after the show taking in all the entertainment.
And finished the night off with our donuts.

Day 3.
We decided to explore as much as we could today!
We started out at Grand Central Station.
It's so cool to see places you've seen a million times on tv...
I will admit the grand clock was pretty small but I pretended to be Serena from Gossip Girl so it all worked out.
We went to Madison Square Gardens.
Did some shopping on the way - went on 34th street with the iconic Macey's.
Then wandered up to Carnegie Deli. I have no words to express the food/ cheesecake here.
BEST. CHEESECAKE. EVER.

We then made our way down to Wall street, which was pretty cool and professional.
We hung out on the pier where we had a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
We wandered around for a bit and then headed to the Bronx.
Yankees vs. Redsox - Redsox won!
It was an awesome game, super intense!
My aunt and uncle were there as well so it was fun to catch up with them.

Day 4.
We started the day out with Dunkin Donuts, naturally.
And then headed to Little Italy - this was one of my other favorite spots.
Hundreds of italian restaurants lined the streets and a bunch of little markets like you'd see in Italy.
We shopped and ate lunch at Parm where we had fresh mozzarella sticks, eggplant parmesan and chicken parmesan sandwiches. I will crave that eggplant parmesan.
There also was a place called Rice to Riches where they have over 20 different flavors of rice pudding... including French toast.

After exploring Little Italy we made or way to The Met. Loved the Met!
Their rooftop was open so we had the best view of the city and Central Park.
We wandered through Central Park and watched all the entertainment for awhile.

We made our way up to the Upper West Side for some cookies that were right down the street from Fashion Week.
Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Cookie was my fave.
We decided to check out the US Open and see if there'd be any tickets available.
Sadly it was sold out but it was still cool to see where it is... in the middle of nowhere.
We headed to our hotel for a little power nap.

After our power nap we decided to find some pizza.
I think it's safe to say we found THE pizza at Joe's. Pictures lined the little place with celebrities who also are a fan of Joe's.
We started out with two slices each and that slowly turned to wishing we ordered a whole pizza.
We wandered around the city doing some shopping and more eating.
We ended up at Times Square and spent a good few hours people watching and more shopping.
There was a Pinkberry about a block from our hotel so naturally we ended the night there.

I think it's safe to say that was one of our favorite trips ever!
We will be back New York.
XOXO GG.
