Island Park.

This year for our family trip my dad booked an awesome cabin right on Henry's Lake!

It was the perfect, much needed vacation.

Day One.

We headed up to Island Park 

& stopped off in Idaho Falls to grab some lunch and visit the temple.

We then drove through Bear World which was so cool! 

We arrived at our cabin and got all settled in. 

It seriously was so pretty!

We played some games, made dinner, and did a little fishing.

Reese's cup wrapped in a crescent roll topped with whipped cream and strawberries... heeeeaven.

Day Two.

The boys woke up early to fish.

We met up for breakfast at the Trout Hunter... I think we all had food coma after.

We then headed to Mesa Falls. It. Was. Amazing. 

We all took a little after noon nap, made an early dinner and then headed to the Madison.

Where we got a camp ground, fished, made smores and played with the kiddos.

Day Three.

We made breakfast and headed to float the river.

It was so pretty and a lot of fun!

Not sure how it happened buuut we sunk our canoe...

and lost some shoes, jacket and a camera.

(luckily matt found the camera and saved the memory card)

We showered and headed to West Yellowstone.

We had some din, went to the playmill, shopped around and had some fresh homemade ice-cream.

See us on the left? Awkward...

No shoes, no shirt ... a lot of problems.
So we ate our feelings.

Day Four.

We packed up and headed out.

We spent the day driving through Yellowstone and enjoying the sites.

We had a little picnic for lunch and then stopped off in Jackson for dinner and shopping!

aaand that's why I love him.

And now it's August and we are home and on a diet...
